Forced Reset Trigger (FRT) Installation and Tuning

A Forced Reset Trigger (FRT) is a semi-automatic trigger system designed to mechanically force the trigger to reset to its forward position very quickly after each shot, allowing for an extremely rapid follow-up shot without converting the firearm to a fully automatic firearm. It achieves this through a mechanism (often involving a lever) that pushes the trigger forward as the bolt cycles, enabling faster firing rates while remaining classified as semi-automatic under current ATF interpretations (though legality can vary by jurisdiction and specific model).

We install and fine-tune compatible forced-reset systems (where legally permitted under current federal and Utah state law), delivering a faster, more consistent reset while maintaining safety, reliability, and compliance. Most FRT installations require some tuning of the spring, buffer, and sometimes the gas system.

What’s Included:

• Compatibility check — Verify your firearm (typically AR-15 platforms or similar FCG) accepts the FRT system without modification.
• Precise installation — Secure mounting, proper alignment, torque specs, and buffer/spring compatibility.
• Tuning & adjustment — Optimize reset timing, pull weight, overtravel, and sear engagement for crisp, repeatable performance.
• Full function & safety testing — Dry-fire cycles, live simulation, drop-safety verification, and clearance checks to ensure no malfunctions or unintended discharges.
• Live Fire Testing- Confirm your firearm runs reliably with a live fire test of your FRT.
• Final inspection — Clean, lubricate, and confirm everything is tight and ready.

Installation and tuning are performed only on systems that meet all current ATF and state regulations—no exceptions.

Pricing: $70 (includes 50 rounds of ammunition for testing) This covers standard FRT installation only. Tuning rifles usually requires, custom adjustments, or additional parts quoted separately. 90% of rifles will need at least a heavier buffer ~$35. Every rifle will be tested using at least 50 rounds of ammunition.
